I've Moved

Forwarding Address I used Blogger as my first foray into the world of online writing in December 2006. Over the years I created several other blogs and a few websites. I finally settled down a bit and decided to put my energy into a self-hosted Wordpress site named My Strange Life . The Orphans What was to become of these sites after I stopped adding content? Nothing at all. Everything on the internet seems to last forever, or at least in the span of a lifetime. There are multiple orphans and WebCrawlers dutifully work their way through the internet finding links and keywords. I won't delete this blog but want want to freshen it up a bit with new information. My Strange Life Below is a RSS "ticker tape" of my latest postings on my website My Strange Life. This are recent postings.

The End of the Internet

Your Amazon purchases help support this blog, Thank You. It took some time with thousands of files, music, photos and spam mail but I finally hit the wall with my free storage on Google. The same thing  is happening on the hard drive which edging toward full capacity. My whole life is like this, a cellar and attic full of stuff. So much stuff. I know I am in trouble when I buy more storage bins to hold the stuff I never plan to use. Gmail stores all the mail you send and receive which is the reason that Hillary didn't use it. My mailbox is a mess. I have offers from Nigeria for millions of dollars, political newsletters from 2008 etc. You probably have the same problem don't you? So what should I do? 100GB for 2 bucks a month seems like a good bargain. Ten bucks a month for a full terabyte seems even better. I'm such a Google fanboy  that they are always my first choice for technology. However the folks at Amazon give me money when folks buy stu

Happy Earth Day Everyone

Image
I celebrated Earth Day by picking up other peoples trash along Fox Farm Road this morning. I'm not sure how their trash ended up along my road, perhaps it fell off a truck on it's journey to the transfer station. I was happy to learn that the Twisted Tea company that produces much of the trash along our road is sponsoring a photo contest. I tried to enter the contest with my clever photo but got an upload error. I will try again.  My morning haul I like the contrast of the yellow packaging against the earthen tones of the pine needles The Mountain Dew was an inspired touch. Thanks for that contribution. This was my contest application I can definitely attest that my photo does NOT depict Santa Claus However I got an upload error when I tried to send it Maybe they don't appreciate ART

What I have in common with Dick Cheney (just one thing)

We certainly don't agree on politics and I never shot my best friend in the face with a shotgun, BUT we both have pacemakers. Also it appears that Cheney has a Medtronics model as do I. However he got the one with a cardiverter defibrillator (ICD). I did not need that feature. I certainly would not have one with WiFi capabilities and risk the chance of being hacked by someone with a grudge. I just have to be careful with those radio towers and big Neodymium magnets   (I'll never be a Prius mechanic). A question for the paranoid, Who killed Barnaby Jones? Unlike Cheney, I made sure I didn't have WiFi capability
