Boo! Just in time for Halloween

I have been sent another email with a scary slideshow about what will happen under an Obama presidency (establishment of a Socialist State).
This was followed by an email from with a link to a "news" organization that alleged that Saddam Hussein help buy Obama's home.

What utter garbage. These are truly desparate times and I guess some people need to blame "that one"

Rather than clogging the email stream by replying, I thought I would provide a link to at least one of the sites. In the interest of balance I tried to find a bit about the group that produced the presentation. I discovered that they have a whole selection of scary movies and articles about Islamic terrorist and Mexicans. I'm suspicious of any presentation that I can't fact check but realized that it is almost Halloween, so as a public service I'm offering a link to some truly scary stuff.

Is it accurate? NO! Is it scary, with scary music? YES!

I used the "evaluating websites" materials our librarian uses to help students (and adults!) evaluate websites to have references that are scholarly and useful for an academic analysis of topics. This site failed meeting a standard of reference, as did 8 random link sites I checked.

Want to know the job qualifications to start? Read a resume. Both are on their own websites- EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

I have hired many people, interviewed many more, and read more than my share of resumes over the years. One thing I've learned in that time is that unless the person is just out of college the educational experience part of the resume is a poor indicator of success. The jobs we do require excellent problem solving skills, and the ability to design and execute on complicated plans of action. Show me a person with little or no higher education that has worked themselves up through the ranks, acquired the necessary skills and experience with sheer force of will and desire, and I'd hire that person in a heartbeat over the PhD from MIT.

I bet this type of resume might sound strangely familiar to our blog host.

The email about the United Socialist States of America came from my friend's brother who is an FBI agent in NYC and the content about Obama's associations and radical views are well documented. The senate votes are also factual. I'm sorry that so many choose to be in denial. All the formal education Obama has had only supports that he is an elitist. He is creating more class warfare with his socialist, redistribution of wealth policies. What gives him the right to take my money and give it to others that he deems more deserving? If you have a good reason I'd like to hear it. Debbie Mahoney

The End of the Internet

Your Amazon purchases help support this blog, Thank You. It took some time with thousands of files, music, photos and spam mail but I finally hit the wall with my free storage on Google. The same thing  is happening on the hard drive which edging toward full capacity. My whole life is like this, a cellar and attic full of stuff. So much stuff. I know I am in trouble when I buy more storage bins to hold the stuff I never plan to use. Gmail stores all the mail you send and receive which is the reason that Hillary didn't use it. My mailbox is a mess. I have offers from Nigeria for millions of dollars, political newsletters from 2008 etc. You probably have the same problem don't you? So what should I do? 100GB for 2 bucks a month seems like a good bargain. Ten bucks a month for a full terabyte seems even better. I'm such a Google fanboy  that they are always my first choice for technology. However the folks at Amazon give me money when folks buy stu
